No. Our treehouses do not have air conditioning. Instead, they are designed around open-air living, with ceiling fans and natural ventilation throughout. Koh Yao Noi can be warm and humid, particularly during certain times of the year, so guests should expect a more nature-focused experience than a conventional air-conditioned hotel stay.
Do the treehouses have private bathrooms?
Yes. All accommodations have access to their own bathroom, although the style varies between treehouses. Some feature ensuite bathrooms, while others have private outdoor bathrooms that form part of the property's open-air nature experience.

Arrival & Transport
Is a scooter necessary?
No. Many guests choose to rent scooters as they provide the easiest way to explore the island, but local taxis are available and can be arranged when needed. If you have never ridden a scooter before, we recommend using local transport instead.
What makes Koh Yao Noi different from Phuket?
Koh Yao Noi offers a very different experience to Phuket. While Phuket is known for busy beaches, nightlife and large-scale tourism, Koh Yao Noi remains a quieter island where daily life is still shaped by fishing communities, local businesses and a slower pace. Visitors come here for nature, scenery and simplicity rather than entertainment and crowds.
Is Koh Yao Noi crowded?
Koh Yao Noi remains significantly quieter than Phuket and many other destinations in southern Thailand, although some areas can become busier during the peak season months.
How many days should I stay?
Many guests stay between three and five nights, which allows enough time to explore the island, enjoy nearby beaches and experience the slower rhythm of Koh Yao Noi. Some visitors stay longer, particularly those looking to disconnect, work remotely or use the island as a base for exploring Phang Nga Bay.

Yes. There are several ATMs on Koh Yao Noi, including machines near the main market area and other locations around the island. During the busiest months, ATMs can occasionally run low on cash, so many visitors prefer to arrive with some Thai Baht and use cash when visiting smaller local businesses.
